Your February 2023 Monthly Horoscope Predictions Are Here

Posted on January 31, 2023

Pisces season is going to be even more romantic than usual, especially on the 19th.

Welcome to February 2023, star children. You made it through January, which is no small feat, as the first month of a year is just about always a hectic and stressful one. On top of the typical post-holiday season exhaustion — an emotional hangover, if you will — there is often a lot of pressure to change old habits, make new pledges, and jumpstart your way into the new year.

By February, though, we're often a little more at ease. Not only is it the shortest month of the year, it brings everyone's favorite sweets-filled holiday: On Tuesday, February 14, we celebrate Valentine's Day. While there's much that can be said about the commercialism and hype surrounding this pink-and-red day, it nevertheless offers a great opportunity to celebrate treasured relationships — of all kinds. If you're partnered up, you may be in search of a unique Valentine's Day gift or a fun experience to do as a pair (or trio, et al). If you're single, you can still do some playful makeup and go out with friends or, if you're feeling bold, go on a first date. Regardless, the stars have a lot to say about what this month will hold, with an early-in-the-month full moon plus multiple planetary transits. Here's what your sign needs to know to make it through this wintry month.

February 202 Overview

For a few of you, people may still be gossiping about what went down over the holidays (or maybe you just have friends who love to spill tea). Despite being the shortest month of the year Regardless, if your life indicates any potential for drama, lay low during the full moon in Leo on Sunday, February 5. Full moons bring out the inner animal in all of us. While this can be excellent for sex marathons, it also leads to gossip. But if you feel like staying in, just blame the full moon and say that your astrologer told you to eat snacks and watch TV.

It's hard to ignore Valentine's Day in February. If possible, make plans earlier in the month and stick to them. When the communication planet Mercury enters aloof Aquarius on Saturday, February 11, people may feel noncommittal. The best way to avoid V-Day drama is to make a plan beforehand, whether you're ignoring it, dancing with friends, or going out on a romantic date. And if you are an airy Aquarius, please text back your friends or partner(s) about Valentine's Day plans.

PSA: Any babies conceived around this time will be born Scorpios.

It's easy to give Aquarius crap for being flaky, but frankly, the biggest flake of the zodiac is Pisces, and their season begins on Saturday, February 18. Pisces is a water sign, as represented by the fish. They're creative geniuses but have slippery scales and can be challenging to pin down. For the next few weeks, everyone may feel dreamier than usual. While this can make it harder to make plans or big decisions, Pisces season is highly romantic. As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces is not only empathetic but wise. This time of year is lovely for love. Just be warned that any babies conceived around this time will be born Scorpios.

Pisces is also a very psychic sign, and your intuition will be heightened around this time. Keep a dream journal by your bed during Pisces season, especially around the new moon in the sign on Sunday, February 19. On this same date, Sunday, February 19, Venus, which rules love, beauty, and money, enters bold Aries. This transit gives all star signs a confidence boost from the universe, so remember that the final week in February is wonderful for asserting your needs in your personal and professional life. So, if your Valentine's Day sucks, just know that you can make up for it once romantic Venus enters hot Aries.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Cheers, Pisces. Your season begins this month. While there's a lot of pressure to party around your season, it's okay to stay in during the first weekend of the month, as a full moon may leave you feeling lethargic. However, say yes to social invitations for the rest of the month because the stars are filled with surprises. Whether it's your next great love or a crucial mentor, you may meet someone this February who will change your life path forever.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

February is all about pleasure, Aries, so cheers to that. While this does indicate that regardless of your feelings about Valentine's Day, love flows this month, the stars also indicate that your creative powers will be in full force. And, at the end of the month, Venus, which rules love, beauty, and cash, enters your sign, bringing blessings in love (and, while an astrologer can't promise money in this economy, hopefully, abundance in all areas of your life).

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

You're a grounded earth sign, Taurus, ruled by glamorous Venus, the goddess of love, money, and abundance. February sees you relaxing and enjoying good times at home, which any Taurus appreciates. And, if you're not entirely happy in your current space, this month brings welcome changes on the home front. Aside from one stressful day early in the month, February is mostly about increased intimacy in your romantic and platonic relationships.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

February is a beautifully romantic month for you, Gemini. You may surprise yourself by deepening a current relationship, especially around the full moon in Leo early in the month. Thanks to moves from your ruling planet, messenger Mercury, February brings important talks, Gemini. Your goal is not to run and hide but to see the benefit in tackling "serious" conversations, whether about friendships, love, or money, and then enjoy the grounded newness that comes with finally putting an issue to rest.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

February is all about abundance, Cancer. Unfortunately, the economy is far too messed up for astrologers to promise cash. However, at times, the stars simply indicate manifestation. So while this month is a great time to have talks about money, even if you don't see an influx of cash, expect to end the month feeling more mentally positive than when it began. Our emotions count as possessions, and the stars align this magical month to expand your wealth.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

February gets going with a full moon in your sign, Leo, and it's a weekend best spent like a housecat, taking naps and accepting lots of attention. You'll be thankful for the rest because then February pivots and is all about your personal life. Not only will you be able to get in touch with your needs, from separating from a partner to taking a relationship to the next level, but you will find yourself calmly and confidently asserting them (and friends and lovers are ready to listen).

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Your corresponding tarot card is the hermit, Virgo, and early February asks you to carve out alone time for rest and recharging. Thankfully, your ruling planet, messenger Mercury, is on your side, helping you hold your boundaries and advocate for your needs. The second half of February focuses on your love life and sees you enjoying the start of a new cycle regarding any romances or dear friendships.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Early in February, the asteroid Ceres asks you to make time for yourself, even if you're in a happy, committed partnership. Because you are the sign of partnerships and ruled by romantic Venus, it can be easy for Libras to lose themselves in relationships at times. Perhaps the most satisfying outcome of this transit is that during February, no matter how romantic Valentine's Day gets, you don't lose sight of the importance of friendships and continue to nurture the platonic loves in your life.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Here's a fun fact, Scorpio: Scorpios are conceived around this time of year, so if you're feeling annoyed by Valentine's Day, pretend it's another version of Halloween, and celebrate in a unique and spooky way. While there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate this month, your career comes to the forefront during February. Just make time for self-care because during this busy month, rich with opportunity, you risk burnout if you don't allocate time for rest

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Rest as much as you can early in February; you'll be grateful that you did later in the month. Thanks to moves from messenger Mercury, this month sees you connecting with friends, so prepare for a busy social calendar. Of course, this month is Valentine's Day, and while there's nothing to indicate anything but roses, the holiday won't be your primary focus. February sees you turning inward, putting effort into your home, and remembering that every day can feel like a holiday with the right friendships.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

You love results, Capricorn, and a full moon early in February brings fruit to the labor you began back in January. Unfortunately, any astrologer who signs off on money in this economy can't be trusted, but the stars do indicate a rather abundant month for you. While you're excited about the prospect of professional good news, your home life is also in a happy place this February. You may see yourself growing more intimate with a partner or enjoying the evolution of a new friendship.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

While your season ends this month and Pisces' begins, you probably won't even notice, Aquarius. Your February is bookended with magical days for romance, so even if you try to hide from love this Valentine's month, it might find you. The only question is, can you differentiate walls from boundaries and actually let someone get close to you?
